Singapore!
A week ago, Singapore cheered to the max. It won its bid to host the first Youth Olympic Games in 2010 – beating Moscow. Singapore and Moscow made the final list after the elimination of Athens, Greece; Bangkok, Thailand; Turin, Italy; Debrecen, Hungary; Guatemala City; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and Poznan, Poland.

World’s 5th favourite

Just read in a magazine yesterday that Singapore is the most popular Asian country and the world’s fifth favourite to live in.

The global survey, FutureBrand’s Country Brand Index 2007 (www.futurebrand.com), also says Singapore topped in the following categories:

Environmental, 3rd (behind only Sweden and New Zealand)
