the apple of his eyes

Just few hours ago (about 10 pm), I got news from home that my nephew RJ was taken to the hospital. He has high fever. He threw up and nosebled. We prayed for healing and protection. My heart became at peace. I know my Father is with us. This is a very worrisome time, but I smiled when I saw what God did in this situation for my family. He is faithful. He knows. He cares. We are the apple of his eyes.

My cousin Pempe and her husband William (plus kids) are in Cebu now with my family for a short visit. What a timely presence and help! William was the one who had to run and get a taxi to take them to the hospital. He was the one who carried RJ – because he is too heavy for my sister Gen or mother to lift!

Gen has the three-month old baby Ruth to breastfeed. But she had to take RJ to hospital with Mama and left Ruth at home with my other nephew and niece, and helper. The problem is – Ruth is usually awake from midnight till around 2 or 3 am and Gen has to feed her. But not to worry tonight – God provided a substitute mother – my pregnant cousin Pem – to feed the little angel with milk.

That is no coincidence. That’s called divine providence. Oh, God. You are amazing. :-)

p.s. When Gen was taken to the hospital last December during Christmas eve, Mama and I took turns to carry baby Ruth outside the emergency room. We held her like a fragile glass. We didn’t want her to wake up because the moment she does, she will cry for her mother’s milk. But thank God she was amazingly sound asleep the whole time – when actually those were the hours she’s usually awake. We thanked God so much for making this little princess cooperate with us at that time. Tonight, God still came and helped my family get through. :-)
