across the miles

One day, I was chatting with my sister in Canada and the rest of our family members in the Philippines. I am based in Singapore. With a webcam on, it was fun seeing them. It was heartbreaking, too, because I know how difficult it is especially for my sister to be away from her two kids back home. I know how much we all miss one another and how much we look forward to being together again. I just am thankful that at least somehow, through the Internet, we are not that far after all.

Anyway, I was quick to take photos of them on my screen. I’m sure my mother, who is just getting used to the wonders of the Internet, will be so surprised to see these. Haha.
