For the past three months, I’ve been a member of Singapore Freecycle (TM) Network .
This is a group of people who reduce waste by giving and taking goods for free. It can be old, faulty, or brand new stuff. Computers, clothing, books, furniture – anything you want to discard or acquire – this is the place to be.
It has been a fun experience for me to give away things to strangers. It’s a privilege to be able to give to other people and make them happy. It was fun, too, receiving from other members. I was so thrilled when someone was giving away some of my favourite perfumes. Of course, I was fast to collect them. Haha!
After my housemate and I moved about two weeks ago to a new place, she has tons of things that are still so good to be thrown away and be wasted. I took time to offer them to the group. I have made a photo blog for them to see the items. It’s amazing. In less than 24 hours, I got more than 700 hits! And yes, the items that are up for grabs are quickly disposed.
Yay for recycling!
I’m all for it!
if only you have those items given pud here.. I’d get some. hehehe. I like that tinker box with shells.
