For the past three months, I’ve been a member of Singapore Freecycle (TM) Network .
This is a group of people who reduce waste by giving and taking goods for free. It can be old, faulty, or brand new stuff. Computers, clothing, books, furniture – anything you want to discard or acquire – this is the place to be. 🙂
It has been a fun experience for me to give away things to strangers. It’s a privilege to be able to give to other people and make them happy. It was fun, too, receiving from other members. I was so thrilled when someone was giving away some of my favourite perfumes. Of course, I was fast to collect them. Haha!
After my housemate and I moved about two weeks ago to a new place, she has tons of things that are still so good to be thrown away and be wasted. I took time to offer them to the group. I have made a photo blog for them to see the items. It’s amazing. In less than 24 hours, I got more than 700 hits! And yes, the items that are up for grabs are quickly disposed.
Yay for recycling! 🙂 I’m all for it! 😉
if only you have those items given pud here.. I’d get some. hehehe. I like that tinker box with shells.
